Garage Door Technician

We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers a competitive compensation structure of $75,000 per year. As a Garage Door Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing high-quality repairs and installations on various garage door systems. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will have a significant impact on maintaining the safety and functionality of our clients’ garage doors.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair garage door issues to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Install new garage door systems and components according to manufacturer specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on garage doors to prevent future issues.
• Document all service calls and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends and enhance your knowledge of various garage door systems.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Tools for the trade or the means to purchase the tools needed.
• Reliable truck or van.
• Open availability, including weekends.
• Pass a background check.
• Proven mechanical skills and knowledge of garage door systems.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving.
• Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
• Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position; pay is per job.

This role involves reporting directly to the operations manager, ensuring efficient communication and workflow. Additionally, technicians will collaborate cross-functionally with sales and customer service teams to address client needs and offer solutions tailored to their requirements.
