What causes a garage door to come off the track?+
Common causes are a car bumping the door or track, worn rollers, a loose track bracket or a cable that snapped and let one side drop.
Can I push my garage door back on the track myself?+
We do not recommend it. The door is heavy and the cables are under spring tension. Keep it closed if possible, unplug the opener and call us.
Why replace both cables if only one broke?+
Both cables wear at the same rate. Replacing them together keeps the door level and avoids a second breakdown soon after.
