Broken key extraction in Phoenix is a precise job — the wrong tool pushes the piece deeper or bends the pins, and then the whole lock has to be replaced.
We use thin extractor tools designed to grab the key cuts and slide the piece out, then inspect the cylinder for damage. If the lock is fine, we cut a new key from the broken pieces or by code. If the cylinder is worn, which is often why the key broke, we can rekey or replace it in the same visit.

Broken key extraction succeeds when the fragment comes out in one clean pull, leaving the pins and cylinder ready for a new key.
We look into the keyway with a light to see how deep the broken piece sits and which direction its cuts face before choosing a tool.
The plug is turned back to its neutral position if needed, because a key fragment only slides out when the pins line up with the keyway.
A thin spiral or hooked extractor grips the key cuts and draws the fragment out slowly, without pushing it deeper or bending the pins.
The pieces are fitted together to read the cuts, a new key is made in the van, and the lock is turned several times to confirm it works.
These factors shape the price of broken key extraction in Phoenix.
Deadbolts, car doors, ignitions, mailboxes and padlocks differ.
